Jessica Aikens, M.Ed., BCBA

Jessica Aikens earned her Master’s degree in Education with an emphasis in Applied Behavior Analysis from Arizona State University in 2017. She has been working with children with special needs since 2012, and has practiced in the field of ABA since 2014. Jessica began her journey as a peer mentor for adolescents with disabilities by supporting them in the home and community settings to practice daily living skills, coping skills and social skills. In 2014, she accepted a position to practice as a Registered Behavior Technician, which inspired her passion for ABA. Jessica became a Board Certified Behavior Analyst in May of 2018, and worked for a company located in Colorado Springs.

When Jessica moved up to Laramie in December of 2018, she found that ABA had not yet grown roots in Wyoming (or so she thought). She worked for a different company first in Fort Collins and again in Cheyenne. She finally joined Peak Behavioral Services in August of 2020. During that time she gathered crucial experience working in both the clinic and home settings as well as with a variety of disabilities such as Autism, Down Syndrome, Emotional/Attachment Disorders and other Developmental Disabilities. Her interests include using ABA to reduce challenging behaviors, Early Intervention practices and collaborative training with parents and teachers alike. ABA was not yet established in Laramie, so Jessica has made it her goal to spread awareness of ABA in the community to ensure families get the support they need. In her free time Jessica loves spending time with friends and family, as well as adventuring of all kinds (hiking, camping, traveling, snowboarding), weightlifting and attending sports events (go Pokes!).
